Is the 2014 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Nissan Murano earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and value for money, and many also call out the smooth ride and good handling. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a comfortable, value-oriented midsize SUV with a sportier edge and everyday practicality. 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliability, and it also describes the Murano as comfortable and good value for money, which usually matters when you’re planning to keep a used SUV for the long haul. That combination suggests you can reasonably count on it as a dependable daily driver if the specific vehicle has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the overall reputation and more about the condition of the individual example you choose.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Murano?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 76 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.96% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,249 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $9,258 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,016 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you’re thinking about future resale. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The Murano’s value story is strongest when you focus on condition, mileage, and maintenance history rather than expecting the market to rebound quickly.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a comfortable, value-focused midsize SUV and you find a clean 2014 at a strong price, this year makes a lot of sense. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you should also compare nearby model years to see whether a newer example offers a better mix of features and condition for only a small premium.
