Is the 2014 Nissan Altima a good car?

The 2014 Nissan Altima is a sensible pick if you want a comfortable, efficient midsize sedan with strong everyday value, and its 3.83/5 user rating reflects that balanced appeal. Owners commonly praise its comfort, stylish interior, fuel efficiency, and sound system, which fits well if you want a commuter-focused car with a good equipment list and practical usability. With its use-case leaning toward comfort and value rather than excitement, it makes the most sense if you prioritise an easygoing daily driver. There are 29.6% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Nissan Altima reliable?

The 2014 Nissan Altima stands out as a midsize sedan that leans more toward comfort, efficiency, and value than outright excitement. Owners describe it as comfortable and fuel-efficient, and the user feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience for many drivers, even though some have reported repairs over time. That mix suggests you should focus on maintenance history and overall condition, because long-term ownership risk can be higher on used examples that have not been cared for consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Altima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 81 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $8,214 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $8,467 CAD sits slightly below last year's $9,046 CAD.

For a future seller, that softer pricing trend suggests the Altima is holding value reasonably well for a mainstream midsize sedan, but not strongly enough to count on a premium resale outcome. If you buy one now, your eventual return will likely depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance records than on market momentum alone. A clean, well-kept example should be easier to move than one with visible wear or a patchy service history.

Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.40% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2014 Altima is a good fit if you want a comfortable, efficient, value-oriented sedan and you find a well-priced example with solid maintenance history. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a newer or slightly older Altima offers a better mix of condition, equipment, and asking price.
