Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Kia Forte?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 21.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 65 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $6,981 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $7,191 CAD sits slightly below last year's $8,095 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more affordable for buyers, which can make it a tougher vehicle to resell at a premium later. If you buy well now, you may be able to limit depreciation exposure, but future resale will still depend on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 21.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2014 if you want a well-liked compact car with a softer used-market price and decent deal availability. If your priority is simply finding the lowest asking price, a nearby model year may also be worth comparing, but the 2014 is a sensible primary target when you want a balance of value and owner approval.
