Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Kia Forte?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and focus on the best examples.

• Deal availability: 19.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 61 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $6,957 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $6,975 CAD sits slightly below last year's $8,078 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it can also mean future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the right number now, you may have less downside risk later than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 19.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used compact car with strong owner satisfaction and a softer price trend, the 2014 is the better value-focused choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and compare them carefully against other nearby model years before you decide.
