The current average of $15,307 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,023 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, but it can also mean future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to preserve value than someone who pays near the top of the range. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.74/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 17.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.74/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2014 is a good fit if you want a Grand Cherokee with strong owner appeal, premium features, and a more favourable price trend than last year. If you’re price-sensitive, it’s worth comparing nearby model years as well, but the 2014 stands out when you find a clean example with solid maintenance history and a price near the lower end of the range.
