2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Perfect choice!! Great Ratings and Reviews too!! Love it!! Would recommend it to anyone!! Has a European Feel that was a huge surprise!! Just ask anyone who owns one and they will agree that this is the SUV of the year!!

This car is excellent with plenty of space for traveling

Gas mileage, transmission shifts are smooth as silk. Love the interior styling and exterior styling as well. No problems, really, other than intermittent blue smoke on startup seems to be due to faulty pcv valve. I love this vehicle, it is amazing in the snow (4 wheel drive with Blizzak snow tires on during winter). Handling is incredible, this is one superb vehicle. Extremely comfortable, no blind spots (I have the backup camera). Very fair maintenance costs, 46,000 km (28,000 miles) as at Oct 2, 2015. I would buy this again, in a heartbeat.

The need familywise to move up in size from a 8 cylinder BMW sedan to a mid-size SUV was a difficult one to say the least. That said other than a few minor quibbles the Jeep Overland has exceeded my expectations. First it is a good looking vehicle and sleek for an SUV. It has all of the luxuries that we have had in other SUVs (Range Rover, Sequoia Platinum, ext.) plus a few extra that just come with the times. It is fun to drive although sport mode doesn't rival a V8 BMW in "Fun" factor it does more than I thought it would, such as using the air suspension to stiffen the ride and tighten the steering. It fully leverages the 8 speed transmission and cycles through the gears quickly with smooth precision. Overall, I am very happy with this car and would highly recommend it to some one who has two young kids in Hockey and need to transition to an SUV. Now for the quibbles: The electronic shifter is awful. Just because the technology is available doesn't mean that you have to use it. Ask Mercedes and their terrible shifter ideas. Other than that the only other issue I have is that I wish they kept the back glass access option. That is such a great feature when you are trying to get every last bit of space out of the trunk area.

Powerful car, clean and spacious. Well suited for family as well

Go with the V8. And stay away from the VVT engines..

It’s a great vehicle, has all the options we were looking for. Would strongly recommend to others looking into getting an suv!

I love the car.. the only thing that is missing is a back up camera

Very happy with our purchase. This grand Cherokee trail package has a great leather interior and features as the Overland package but has more rugged tires as we wanted. 5* thank you cargurus!!! You made finding our truck easy and stress free!!!

This car has all the bells and whistles. It will even turn on the heated seats and steering wheel for you if the temperature drops below 40 degrees. It drives great, and the headlights are automatic so you dont have to worry about them either. I really enjoy this car and would compare it to a range rover.

High amount of options. Looks like a luxury car on the inside. Best bang for your buck.

Amazing vehicle quiet with smooth smooth ride cant go wrong

Great value with all the features I was looking for. I owned an older Jeep and am familiar with this model. Very happy with this purchase!

If you’re going to get any 2011-Up Jeep Grand Cherokee, I suggest that you either buy a ‘14+, or if you do go with ‘11-‘13, it should be a steal on the price. That’s because they made some major improvements on the ‘14 model - the biggest being the 8-spd auto transmission, which will save you hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in gas over 5 years of ownership vs the auto transmissions on the ‘11-‘13’s. Other ‘14 improvements include a more digital dash, better headlights, and LED taillights. However, my biggest complaint with any new generation JGC is that you have to buy at least a “Limited“ trim model, or find a “unicorn” Laredo which was ordered from the factory with the off-road adventure package and the selec-trac system. Otherwise, you’re just as well off to buy any other AWD SUV - with the exception of the JGC’s likely higher ground clearance. Jeep needs to keep their off-road “roots” with their flagship family SUV, and put real off-road capability in any model that’s a 4x4. People shouldn’t have to buy a “posh” suburbanite grocery-getter package like the Limited trim in order to obtain some actual off-road capability. Jeep is not alone in this type of practice, and it’s a paradox and an oxymoron within the SUV world nowadays.

Highly recommend the jeep overlands!, they have amazing features and the way they ride is amazing!!, not to mention the fuel economy on them!! they have the eco mode on them so it turns them into a fuel saving machine!!. if you are looking for a smaller SUV with great fuel mileage then I suggest looking into the Jeep grand cherokee!!

The Grand Cherokee SRT was absolutely great. Value power and refinements

For this model of Overland Grand Cherokee this is a very fair price. It’s a premium overland package and when compared with similar other models the price is very fair.

Not a fan of high gas mileage as I've driven econoboxes my whole life. But this one isn't too bad in that regard. Average 17-19 miles/gallon. I think that the car is gorgeous and a big step up in the looks department for Chrysler. Good going Fiat! :)

It was about time that Jeep made an SUV that has it all ! The eight speed transmission, sport mode, Gas milage, has inproved. The ride ! what a diffrence from the 2009 Over all Best Jeep I have ever had. Just LOVE IT.

The 2014 JGC Overland Diesel is a very luxurious and refined automobile. It just seems a bit too gadgety and loaded with too many electronics that are just begging to fail and then repair. Who needs paddle shifting on the steering wheel? Who wants automatic air leveling suspension that raises and lowers the automobile by 1-2? Too risky for me, since I am just looking for a horse to pull a small camper. The 2014 that I tested, had 80k miles, and already had a new emissions system, and new rack and pinion steering. It was a Nice soft ride with alot of acceleration for a diesel turbo, and it has excellent fuel economy.

Fully loaded super comfy. The diesel torque throws you back in the seat. I would not pass one of these up the 32mpg is a definite must to have

Fairly up to date features for a 9 year old vehicle. Comfortable seats and well appointed. Looked at Summit level trim.

Great revamp of the body style along with how all the interior out look is, very user friendly, also has amazing space!

Literally the best car Ive owned. Rides very smooth, infotainment is easy to use and is not very nice looking.

It was a v6 and had good power going up the hills. It was reasonably good on gas for an suv. It looked and handled comfortably. Some small things did not always work like they should. It was reasonably dependable.
