This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the best-priced examples.

What is the 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT's resale value?

The current average of $7,142 CAD sits slightly below last year's $8,265 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you're buying now and planning to sell later. If the market stays steady, a lower entry price can leave less room for further value loss than a more expensive used hatchback. Strong demand for practical, well-liked cars can also help support future resale performance.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 22.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest value play, the 2014 is appealing because pricing has eased and owner feedback is very positive. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep comparing nearby years and listings, but the 2014 is a sensible starting point when you want a practical used hatchback with solid market support.
