Question type: General

Why is it that the double cab trucks tow less
than the crew cab trucks?

The difference is probably the extra weight of the double cab. How much are we talking about?

3,655

I would say probably that G M didn't want to put a stronger transmission for the chassis design. EXCELLENT question, btw. I get pretty decent mileage when in tow with my 5.8, I might add ( gas). St. George up to Salt Lake is mostly uphill, crossing 3 mount passes

The Double cab weighs less than the Crew Cab. So I would say the above answer is incorrect.
