Are there certain auto insurance companies that offer special rates for electric vehicles?

Hybrid and electric vehicle drivers are statistically safer. Same reason applies to Subaru drivers. It is simply a statistical fact.

I doubt it but you can try selling that to insurance companies. If a Tesla hits you at 60 mph you are just as dead as a Toyota hitting you at 60.

BTW. I have had 2 Subarus, no accidents, no tickets and I do not get a break on insurance.
