Rotating Tires is not needed? Why?

A car repair shop told me the tires on the front of my 2018 Hyundai Sonata
Limited did not need to be rotated because the best tires are on the front.
Is this a scam and the garage did not want to take the time to rotate the
tires?
The tires are Bridgestone TURANZA QUIETTRACK 94V, with 18,000 miles
on the new tires. I've previously had the tires rotated twice at the same
garage each time I had the oil changed. Why would the garage now say the
best tires are on the front, so no rotation is needed?

They were probably busy and didn't want to do it. Or the person you talked to didn't know what they were talking about. Better tires always go on the REAR of the vehicle. This is because the back tires, in bad weather, must displace the water that's already on the road plus the water that's displaced by the front tires. The front tires only have to displace the water on the road. Hope that helps! Jim
If in doubt, check the tires yourself..... It does sound odd that the shop said that the front tires on a FWD car are those that are on the front. But when you last had the car serviced, maybe they rotated the tires without telling you: it happens..... When I rotate tires, I, or any reputable shop, don't just move tires front to back, we inspect the tires and put the tire with the least wear on the primary drive position, then work the remaining tires from there.... I suspect that the tire shop is honest, and they told you the truth. Maybe you should just ask them why instead of getting bent out of shape about it.
