How do I fix my 4 wheel drive

Asked by JH123456789 May 27, 2020 at 11:29 AM about the 1999 Ford Expedition 4 Dr Eddie Bauer 4WD SUV

Ford expedition stuck in 4 wheel drive I took off
the  Transfer case motor and looked and it's in 2
wheel drive  I turned the loan nub on the transfer
case to a 4 high then to  4 low and back to 2 high
it  works just fine. So took off the drive line it's
driving fine. What is wrong with it?

Maybe it needs a 4 wheel drive engagement motor located on the transfer case.
