4 wheel drive

My girl was driving on freeway and hit the
gearshifter on her 99 Ford expedition from drive to
reverse, now it's stuck in 4 wheel drive, she can still
drive it but it clunks Everytime she makes a turn.
How can I fix this?

Could be a damaged U joint or other drive train component.
