84 k10 4 barrel carb. Nothing special just a everyday driver

Asked by Laserblazer Dec 14, 2017 at 07:11 AM about the 1984 Chevrolet C/K 10 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When it’s cold out while I’m driving the motor will cut out randomly. Every
time it does it I hear a click and seems like I can feel the click by my feet. It
only does it when it’s cold out. It’s fine during summer. All the dash lights stay
on with the radio. Something sticking cause of the cold. Please help.

Why does it only happen when it’s cold though. I don’t believe there is a another fuel pump on there? Fuel filter in that area I thought there was only one by the carb? Could it be something with the governor in the tranny? I don’t wanna just start putting in parts with no fix?
