My car struggles on accelerating is is because my
fuel filter or something else?

Step 1. Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down. Step 2. Check fuel pressure at the fuel rail use a gauge PSI.
