I just swaped my 2008 sonata from a 4 cyl to a 6 cylinder. not that big a deal. I bought a wrecked v6 car so I had everything I needed to change. Several components were different, but it was all bolt on things from one car to another.

The shift cable has to be changed. easier whit the motor out. you'll have to use the motor transmission and cv axles from the donor. heater hoses on firewall have to be changed. the exhaust hooks right up to the 4 cyl exhaust. leave all the wiring harness on the motor and transmission and separate it at the fuse box..Have to take the fuse box apart. all in all an easy swap. let me know how it goes. computer change of course.
