2002 Mercedes C320 - Trunk won’t pop but will make a mechanical sound

Asked by Midgetguru Mar 18, 2018 at 02:56 PM about the 2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 320 Sport Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I’ve purchased a used Mercedes C class and I’ve come to find out that the
trunk will not open. It will make a “whirring”  sound when I take the key to
open it – and I can gain access to my trunk –  but I cannot seem to get the
catch to catch. Has anyone ever come across something like this? About to
go are you to find out is it possible to do if you know basically nothing about
the meetings of a foreign car. I definitely should’ve listened to my father
before purchasing this car. He is  going to give me crap for years – ask him for
help - haha. Thx!
