2002 Mercedes Benz C320 Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Put a new batter in the car 10 days ago. Something is draining the batter
when the car is off. There is a compartment in the left rear trunk that has a
flashing red light on top and makes a ticking noise.  I can not figure out how
to make that stop, is there anyway this can be draining the battery? Also how
can I repair this issue, is there a button I have pushed that caused this. Just
purchased the car 3 weeks ago.

Actually not the left rear of the truck it is the right rear compartment on of the truck, their is a cover that comes off which allows me to see the light, but when the battery goes completely dead it stops flashing and ticking.

It's the battery. The power seats might be your problem.... Unplug them for under the seat. Jump your battery and charger your alternator...... Also it could be your alternator itself
