This morning when I pressed gas pedal my car hesitated amd continued to do this at every stop light. After hesitation seemed to run fine. Had autozone run diagnostic and came up with crankshaft position sensor circuit malfunction and also PCM segment time acquisition incorrect. Do I just need to replace the sensor?

Old vehicle sensors go bad. The CKP sensor sends the signal to the PCM like a shot fired to start a race if the PCM doesn't get the signal (hear the shot) it guesses as best it can when to begin... and hello, hesitation to race or not? Next, it will cause a NO start when it totally fails. Regards
