Hi. Just tonight my 2004 GMC Envoy transmission crapped out. I was doing highway speeds when I noticed high revs, then it car slowed down. I was able to nurse it to an exit by shutting the vehicle off, waiting a minute or 2, then starting it. each sucessive time tho, it ran for less time. Police had to push me up and off the road. Currently waiting for AAA to tow it home. Any suggestions? Google says perhaps a solenoid.

Check the fluid level but I think you are going to need a rebuilt transmission.
