just change the water pump and we're
trying to figure out why we can't get the
thermostat to work properly it's
overheating and I wasn't having the
problem before changing the water
pump and thermostat thinking we may
have to flush the system but not exactly
sure how can somebody please help or
is it possible that we just have a bad
thermostat

For the I6 engine, I've never had a problem after changing waterpumps and the stat for that matter. Don't lose enough coolant to really make a difference. 2 things come to mind, 1 is, how do you know it's overheating, scanner hooked up to see real temp? Our gauge is useless really. Lucky for you, the 05' model temp sensor, is right above the stat. If a scanner shows it running hot, very well could be a bad stat out of the box. Stant makes a good thermostat.
