I have a 2002 Durango, and after it has sat for a couple hours it doesn't like to start right away.

I turn the key and it sounds like it wants to start,  I turn the key off and
back on and it starts while I pump the gas peddle. It only does this after
sitting for awhile, if I turn it off, and ten minutes later I turn it on, it starts
right up. I'm not even sure where to start, my engine code is only
PO441/PO442 and my brothers tell me that either of those has nothing to
do with the starting issue. Thank you for any advice.

Your brothers might be right on the codes but without seeing fuel trim data i couldn't tell you for sure. To start i would check your fuel pump. Next time it doesn't start make sure you can hear the pump kick on when turning on the ignition if not bang on the tank and cycle the ignition and try to start again if it starts right up you need a fuel pump or the connector/wiring could be bad, another option would be to check for fuel pressure on the fuel rail, there is a schrader valve that you can depress with a small screw driver on the passenger side and if fuel comes shooting out then you have pressure and should probably look into other possibilitys.
