Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I haven been reading how people with different
style fords with same problems were able to just
push buttons together and fix their problem with ac
blowing hot driver side and ac blowing cool on
passenger side.
My question is what would be the button combo for
the 2012 f150?
Also the location of the HVAC actuator and how to
reset it.
This will save me a quote price of $1100 if it works!!
So I greatly appreciate any and all suggestions!!!

One of the HVAC door actuators is bad. There is no button combo to fix it as it needs a new actuator. Replacing the actuator is a labor intensive job as the dash has to come out. Shop around for a better price, but in my opinion the dealership is the place to have this repaired.

You have a dual control system, meaning two actuators. One is located deep behind the dash, behind the radio. The other, also deep inside but down lower, much lower. They are plastic electric motors driving gears. They are prone to breaking. The parts are about sixty bucks each. If you are going to attempt the fix yourself, change both. There are many videos on the subject on the net. Frustration level? about 1000 percent.
