oil pressure drop

2011 f150 5.0 when truck gets up to operating temp and i come to a stop light,
the oil press gauge drops to l and the idiot light comes o.If put it in neutral and
increase the rpm just a lile blt the gauge goes back to its normal reading and
the light goes offf.This problem startedlast year but was very very few and far
inbetween. Now it constantly is doing it 125000 miles on odometer

Test the oil pressure switch. These go bad and it has nothing to do with loss of pressure anywhere else on engine.

Guys, My 2011 xlt was doing the same thing. Manually tested the pressure and it was good so knew it had to be the switch. At ford there’s 2 versions of this switch, make sure you grab the most updated one and that should fix the problem. My mechanic ordered 2 A parts and it didn’t work but ordered part b and finally worked.
