Oil pressure

I have a Ford f150 2003 4 wheel drive 4.6
motor driving it down the road on the
highway this morning and the oil pressure
completely drops to 0 truck shuts right off
sitting on the side of the road started the
truck back up oil pressure came up to
halfway went way back down having it
towed home what's wrong with it

First check oil level a lot of vehicles today has a cut off switch to engine when oil is low to keep from damaging engine.
