Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,
Today when i tried to open my Journey, the Remote didnt work to open it. I tried many times, and nothing. If i press the lock button, lights blink alarm arms. But when i press the UNlock button nothing happens.
I trired the spare remote and same happens.

I had to enter into the car, using the phisical key, and the Alarm started.... 6:00am :(
from the buttons inside the car i can lock and unlock without any problem.

Only the Remotes are givinme this problem

Sounds like the fobs need to be reprogrammed. I'm not an expert, but I had the same issue with a Chrysler Town and Country. I took the fobs in and they reprogrammed them. Not sure what process they have to go through, but that is most likely your best solution. You could check the fob's batteries for giggles, but since you have some functionality with the fob, this probably isn't it. Good luck!

I know your post was a long time ago but the same thin happened to me and probably others too. I went to a locksmith and he showed me the problem. Open the fob. Remove the circuit board. On the back side of the buttons are black discs.these are the contacts. My contact disc for the unlock button had shifted off the center of the button. Placed it back to proper position and it works now.i cleaned the back of the circuit board with a tissue dampened with eyeglass cleaner before putting it back together.

I tried what the last person Guru said but i dont know what he means by black discs on the back side of the buttons because i took the circuit board off and i cant see any discs on the button or how to adjust anything.

When you separate the rubber buttons from the circuit board (pull them apart) you will see the contacts on the circuit board and the discs on the buttons

The renegade discs was the issue with mine. Put some cellophane tape over them to make them less likely to migrate again. Thanks C8D5Z.
