battery light

2010 ford escape - battery dash light goes on and off intermittently -- dash
gauges go off and on --- hear a clicking sound under dash -- steering goes out -
- ac/heat controls stop working -- all this happens intermittently in a couple of
minutes-- then drives fine .  why ? what is the problem ?

Mid speed can bus fault sounds like. possibly wires that have been rubbed through and touching ground somewhere. If thats the problem its gonna take a scope to find the exact issue
