This can get expensive very quickly, I recommend you take it to your favorite independent shop and have them check it out. It could be an early warning sign of pending computer failure.

The B1676 code is set when the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module detects system voltage is less than 9 volts or grater than 19 volts for more than 8 seconds. In other words if the battery voltage is too low or the alternator is not charging properly the B1676 code will set. The possible cause is Blown Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Fuse ABS module harness is open or shorted ABS module connector poor electrical connection. Faulty charging system Faulty ABS module The cost to diagnose the B1676 Ford code is 1.0 hour of labor. The diagnosis time and labor rates at auto repair shops vary depending on the location, make and model of the vehicle, and even the engine type. Most auto repair shops charge between $75 and $150 per hour.

Thanks for your info on code b1676 you had mentioned that that code is related to the antilock brake system, ABS I also got a cold from the diagnostic trouble codes b 1342 EC you defective. Generic electronic module GEM defective so I will have diagnostic work done to find out what’s going on with ABS. Thanks again your answer was very helpful.
