BMW X5 , engine does not start each time I have the car washed

Asked by Pleasehelpme May 10, 2013 at 07:07 AM about the 2009 BMW X5 xDrive35d AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Each time I have the car washed , when I try to switch it on , battery is dead ... Changed
battery , have it washed without the keys in the ignition , do not know what to do or how
to solve it , any ideas where the problem could be ? Something that gets damped when
being washed ?
this did not happen when the car was new , has been happening during last 6 months in
which I tried all including changing the battery for a new one

Blast the engine with a shower of WD-40 is a water-displacer and your high-voltage components will no longer be shunted...If I were a guessing man would say that you need new silicone wires, yours have gone leaky~
