Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car was hit, steering wheel and bilateral headliner airbags deployed.
Repair shop does not replace battery fusible cable. Is that what needs to be
replaced for car to start?   I'm being told I need to tow it to another repair
shop, takes about four hours because the cable runs from the front to the
back of the car. Does that sound correct?

My insurance company totaled the car. I had this repair company look at the insurance estimate and list of needed repairs and had them go look at the car. They are now saying they were only “helping” me fix it. They’ve had it since December 2017!
