Battery died, finally got it to jump, now car won't accelerate... ???

Battery and alternator need to be tested, you don't have enough voltage to operate the car.

I did some effective googling and discovered that the car had gone into 'limp mode'. Apparently a sensor had been overloaded when the battery finally jumped. Shut it off, started again and everything seems fine.
