This 2009 is clean inside and out. It has 308,000 miles on the odometer. what
are the odds of getting another 50,000 miles out of the engine

Without any knowledge of your car I would say 1/4. The odds of your transmission lasting are probably more like 1/10. I would worry about making it home.
