2008 Hyundai Sonata

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My daughter was driving it last night and it suddenly died while driving. It did not want to restart although it did act like it wanted to turn over. Battery and alternator was replaced a few months ago. Does this mean the fuel pump went out or is it most likely the timing chain or belt? Keep in mind the oil has been changed regularly but it does have almost 300,000 miles on it.

I have had affirmative answers to that one so I tried it first ;) If you turn the key on do you hear the fuel pump hum?

With 300,000 miles on it who knows? Almost anything could have gone wrong.
