If u know it was overfilled, drain excess oil out and prevent further issues. It is harmful, it can catch on fire and it's not good for engine to be running with excess oil.

number1 the pressure from too much oil will blow your seals. take a qt out an and don,t go to that place again.

A little film of oil is not dangerous but the overfilled oil could be hazardous to your engine.

When you overfill the engine with oil, the oil will foam. This will cause the oil pressure to drop, not increase! The reason is because the oil pump is sucking air bubbles instead of liquid oil! This can damage your engine! Hope that helps! Jim

Thank you. I'm now being told, the oil went onto coil "boot'. the 'boot' is soaked, so it and spark plugs, need replacing. The is will be $ 350. Is this about right?

If this is the same shop that overfilled the engine with oil, they should pay for it!! Is the engine misfiring? If not, personally, I'd just have them drain the excess oil, clean up the engine compartment, all free of charge, and be on my way. Hope that helps! Jim
