1995 Chevrolet Z71

Asked by Todoubled Jun 23, 2016 at 09:45 PM about the 1995 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: General

I've got a 1995 Z71 that is doing strange stuff. It
wouldn't start the other day. I took the battery off
and got it tested. It tested good. Put it back on the
truck and it started. Killed it. Tried to start it again,
it wouldn't start. Click but not start. Unhooked the
battery and hooked it back up. It started. Unhooked
the battery and hooked it back up, it started. Did
this several times. Same outcome. Got a new
starter. Same outcome. What's going on?

So by unhooking the battery cables and hooking them back up would make it start? If it was a bad cable or bad wire that would make a difference if it was a bad wire or cable? Just asking the question. Looks to me if it was a bad wire or cable, unhooking it and hooking back up shouldn't make a difference?
