Do I replace Both thermostats on my car?

Service Engine light Came On. OBD reader states it's the thermostat. My 2007 Altima has 2 Thermostats? I only replaced the bottom thermostat closer to the headers. Lasted about 2 weeks and service Engine light came on again. Used OBD reader and states its thermostat. My water pump is fine. My question is, is it possible that the top thermostat closer to the engine is what's causing the light to come back on?
