right position of switch gear to start car

Asked by Esteem_1943 Mar 15, 2017 at 12:14 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer LS 4-Door RWD

Question type: General

I replied. the Ignition switch on 2000 chevy blazer, when turning the key to start
car nothing happens.the battery is good and starter turns when using  jumper
wire.

I've found out on my 96 that I have to move the gear shift out of park then back to park like it doesn't set in gear correctly

If you have to play around with the gear shift to start the car the neutral safety switch is out of adjustment.
