Truck dies when stopping

I have a 94 Ford F 150 XL 4.9 liter inline 6 5 speed
manual transmission truck stalls and dies when
stopping. If I keep my foot on the gas it will stay
running. Any suggestions would be helpful

Try doing a test first, could be several factors. I would start with a fuel pressure test (maybe replacing fuel filter), second check for proper firing to plugs and coils, third on my F150 2003 4.6L, truck would not idle after researching problem, I replaced Air Bypass Value ($44.99 AutoZone) and it worked. Good Luck
