When slowing down to turn my truck dies

Asked by Adam Aug 14, 2021 at 03:07 PM about the 1989 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So when slowing down to turn ( like pulling into
my driveway) my truck dies. Fires right back up,
but it still does it. I've tried advancing the timing
from the distributor but that did nothing but use
more gas. 1989 ford f150 with the 302. Any
suggestions or ideas would be great

I'd check to see if your throttle body is clean and IAC Valve is clean and working properly.
