I have an S280 W140 1996 and it has a reversing problem, each time l reverse it 1, jerks and when l accelerate while reversing it doesn't respond to my acceleration and it produces a griiiii sound.

Thanks and do l need to replace the whole gearbox or some particular parts?

Replacing it would be your best bet,unless rebuilding it is cheaper where u are
