Check your fuses first. Likely you blew the one that controls the interior lighting

I had the same problem on Saturday. The entire instrument panel went out, and the speedometer went all the way to the right and then to zero. I thought the car died, so I coasted around the corner, only to find out the car was still running but I had nothing on the dashboard. I pulled over, shut it down and restarted it, and everything came back on. The ABS, Traction control and Variable Effort Steering lights come on everytime I start the car, and sometimes the anti-theft light also comes on. Could this be the ignition issue that GM supposedly recalled. Except their fix was only to change the hole on the key to reduce the size. That was never my issue, as I only had the car key and house key on the ring.
