2001 pt cruiser dyes out while driving, no warning, and it won't start again. all the lights and everything else works
in the meantime. the check engine light is on.

Could be many things. Crank Position Sensor, Fuel Pump, Map sensor. Chryslers also have an Auto Shutdown Relay that the computer may activate. I would have the codes checked that are giving you the check engine light. Many autoparts stores like Advanced Auto, or Auto Zone will do it for free.

I have a 04 PT cruiser and it stalled out on me and would not crank....my son replaced a 30 amp fuse on the file close to the dash under the hood and it cranked right up
