I have a 2001 PT Cruiser, ran great, went to start it 10 minutes after turning it off and it won't start. Replaced plugs and wires, new starter and new battery. All it does is click when we try to start it. Smells like sulfur under the hood in the engine compartment, when we try to start it also.

My guess would be a bad neutral safety switch or ignition. Turn the key to the start position and hold it there. Move shifter from D to N a few times and see if she fires up. If not, run a wire from the positive battery terminal to the starter. If it turns over, you'll know the issue is the ignition.

Check ur ignition lock asst. I have on here that a customer says that they 'are having problems starting the car it sits for a few mins, i kept trying to duplicate the concern when finally upon starting it up the key came out of ignition just a hair and the car would not start, but after pushing the key in all the way it started. So i would check and see if after you start the car does the key come out while it is running. If so you need to replace the ign lock assy
