My 1006 Toyota Prius

Asked by Julie Jun 18, 2018 at 11:57 PM about the 2006 Toyota Prius FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2006 Toyota Prius just turned over 300,000 miles.
AutoZone says it needs a heat sensor. I don't get A/C. What is
wrong and where can I have it fixed without taking me
anymore broke than I already am?  I live in AZ and if I drive it
too long in the dead heat of the day, a loud beep goes off
and I have to pull over and stop right away or it will just stop
where it is.

Sounds like maybe the inverter water pump? If you're in the Phoenix area, reach out to Hybrid Revolt (hybridrevolt.com). They are very knowledgeable and have helped me in the past, including replacing my water pump when it failed.

Thank you so very much for your reply I will definitely get that checked out I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to my post.
