2000 chevy 1500 brake switch issue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 chevy 1500.  I have no brake lights so i
checked only fuse labeled brake and replaced.   I replaced
brake switch twice making sure didn't get a faulty switch.   I
just replaced brake switch 6 pin connector.   All bulbs are
new.   No issues with wiring being shorted.   I don't know
where to go from here.

Did you check for voltage and ground, anywhere? Use a test light. In the diagram for stop lamp switch, the top wire is voltage to the stop lamp switch, hot all the time and fuse protected. Use a test light see if voltage is there? The bottom wire goes hot when stop switch is activated. There is a second fuse, vehicle stop fuse--10 amp. The top fuse in diagram says stop lamp fuse--20 amp, Make sure voltage was tested on both fuses. The ground at the rear is a black wire, if the other rear lamps work, the ground is probably ok.
