Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 chevy 1500 Ls and it idles rough. And
when I take off some times it like bogs out and
almost shuts off. I put new o2 sensors in and catilic
converters. Any body know what's wrong?

Should check the fuel pressure, change out the fuel filter first. Possible bad fuel regulator. You would have to rev the engine up to see if the fuel pressure holds within the proper limits.

Also the Air Idle Control Valve along with the throttle body should be cleaned, and the Mass Air Flow Sensor cleaned with MAF spray cleaner.

If the MAF is new then it should be fine. Check that IAC and clean the port out good along with the valve first. Otherwise check the fuel pressure and regulator.

I just saw your question. I know it was a while back, but I just had the same problem. Went as far as reflahing the ecm. Turns out I had to clean the throttle body out. 5 minutes, it was squared away running like new. Hopefully this will help in the future. Cleaning a it every 30000 miles. Takes no time at all. Ignition on, and someone hold the pedal to the floor. Get a little plastic bristle brush and spray cleaner on it. A rub the butterfly and everything around it.
