I have a 2000 Chevy 1500 two wheel drive
it's got the 4.8 vortec in it it was running
really rough idling rough I replaced the mass
airflow sensor and replaced the idle air
check valve and replaced the plugs plug
wires have a good air filter . Before I
changed all that the check engine light
would come on would barely idle and
started to miss I replaced all that brand new
doesn't seem to have helped it much except
the light just stays on it doesn't blink and it
idles but when you go to put it in gear then it
starts missing back firing a little bit any
thoughts any thoughts

First thing to do is scan the computer for trouble codes since the check engine light is coming on. Your local auto parts store can do the scan. Most stores will do it for free too. Once you have the codes you can go from there. Hope that helps! Jim
