My 96’ Chevrolet z71 has sat for 5 years now, please help!

1996 Chevy z71 stepsides been sitting 5 years, it
kills me but I’m actually working to start it!  What
are some things I need to try or do?
Other than Replace battery with new battery,
change oil&filter, remove old gas, an filter. What
else should happen prior to me starting to drive
down the road

Inspect the brake system and flush the old brake fluid out, inspect the tires for dry rot, flush the cooling system, and a complete tune up. Inspect the air filter box and exhaust system for critter nests too. Hope that helps. Jim
