My 2000 Chevrolet Silverado ls z71 4x4 will not go i to drive or reverse?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I parked my truck today in 75
degree weather it was
working fine.  When a rain
storm passed by a cpl hours
later it would no go into drive
or reverse?  I checked linkage
and fluids and all were good.  
Any ideas i reset the push
button 4x4 no different.   I
cycled the key  no help.  At a
complete loss as to what to
do?  Help please!!!!
