Why does it matter? Your car is a mass produced, assembly line car- it will be worth what you can get for it at auction- it will never be as important as a 1964 Ferrari-

The answers you listed appear to be right on. My wife, girlfriend at the time, bought a 1965 Corvette 327/300 with a four speed. At that time, the big fad was as the Beach Boys made popular, to have a "four on the floor" so not many automatic transmissions were ordered around that time. The automatic transmisions were not as fast as the four speeds. We belonged to a Corvette club so got to see and hear what a lot of people were ordering. I know when I had moved to California after Vietnam tour, I traded our 65 for a 69 four speed. We joined another Vette Club. The members that had automatics had very slow Vettes compared to the 4 speeds. I still have the 69, and if we could of gotten A/C may still have kept the 65. Bottom line is, not many automatic C-2 Corvettes were ordered with automatics. For years the resale value was lower for an automatic trans. I since have changed my trans to an after-market 5 speed.
