What is the correct size tire & rim for a 73 Bug?

Question type: Car Customization

The tires on it now are 16's I believe, and they rub the inside fenders on teeny
bumps!

i usto own a couple of bugs...i remember using 15" tires...

It has more to do with the wheel offset or width. OEM is about 205 in width and a zero offset rim. Use the tirerack.com fitment application

The original size the fits your car is 165R15.
